Sipping Soave - Santi 2010 Soave Classico DOC Vigneti di Monteforte

A wine from the Veneto, Italy, this Soave has a lot of character. Give it a few minutes to open up after you pull the cork, and you’ll have a pleasant wine. The nose is fragrant, and alludes to white flowers and stone fruits like nectarines. The palate, however has tremendous tart citrus and even some spiced honey. There is a dry minerality and almost chalky note as well, making this a complex white wine. The suggested retail of $17 is more than fair for this great summer sipper.
